I am aware of the incident in Speke on Friday evening and have seen the concerning footage circulating online. I am seeking an urgent meeting with Merseyside Police and other relevant organisations to understand fully what happened. The incident is being reviewed by Merseyside Police’s Professional Standards Department who will look to establish the full circumstances. Along with local Speke Labour Councillors, Mary Rasmussen and Doreen Knight, I will continue to raise this and seek answers on behalf of the local community.
