Last night in The House I re-introduced the Multi-Storey Car Parks (Safety) Bill, known as Gabe’s Law.
Gabe’s Law is named for my constituent Gabe Santer who tragically fell from a city centre car park aged just 15-years old. The Bill seeks to raise minimum guard barrier heights from their current just 1.1 metres and calls for 24-hour security to help minimise further loss of life.
I will be returning to the Chamber with the Bill on Friday 4th September.
