On Friday I met with Liverpool Charity and Volunteer Service (LCVS) to hear about the work they’ve been doing since 1909 to improve the wellbeing of individuals and communities across Liverpool.
LCVS are the representative body for the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise community in the city, helping support sectoring network and local charities and community groups to increase their impact. They deliver high impact activities like capacity building and fundraising support services, helping doners to distribute over £4 million every year to charities and community groups.
It was good to hear about the positive work they do across Liverpool Garston, which they had highlighted at the Garston Partners Conference last month when I was there. They are looking to support the Pride in Place activity in East Speke and I will be putting them in contact with the Neighbourhood Board once it has been established.
