Maria Eagle MP A Strong Voice in Tough Times

On Friday I was pleased to call in to the AGM for Liverpool Talking Newspaper, based in Speke Training and Education Centre and an organisation I have supported since first being elected in 1997.
The Talking Newspaper is a charity staffed entirely by volunteers who give their time every week to deliver a free of charge local news programme and magazine programme to people with visual impairments. This can either be via a memory stick which is delivered free to people’s doors, which they then return free at any post box, or on any Alexa-powered device.
The newspaper is a lifeline for many people and provides a window into the outside world, which is why I have always been proud to support them and the work they do.
