This week I held a meeting between Liverpool city MPs and Matthew Reed, Chief Executive of Marie Curie, where we discussed again the future of in-patient palliative care at Woolton Hospice. The meeting was constructive and I will be moving forward with a meeting with NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board next week around funding for in-patient beds. I am continuing to work to try and save much-needed in-patient care at the Hospice and will continue to provide updates.
