Last week as Minister for Defence Procurement and Industry I joined the Speaker of The House Sir Lindsay Hoyle in his constituency of Chorley to visit Carrington Textiles, a global producer of workwear fabrics headquartered in Chorley. I was proud while there to open their new printing press that will double their capacity to produce material and uniforms for armed forces across 14 countries from their dedicated Pincroft facility. This will allow them to print over 8 million metres of camouflage fabric in the UK annually.
