Maria Eagle MP A Strong Voice in Tough Times

I am honoured to have been re-selected as Labour candidate for Garston and Halewood in the next General Election.
I am grateful to everyone who took part in ward and branch meetings to cast their vote for me, as well as all affiliated unions and socialist societies in what was a unanimous result. The unions were USDAW, GMB, CWU, Unison, Unite and ASLEF, while I also received support from the Co-Operative Party, the Labour Party Irish Society, Labour Movement for Europe, Jewish Labour Movement and the Labour Campaign for International Development.
I have always fought for our constituency and that will continue, especially as residents face a cost of living crisis created by a populist Prime Minister who is a liar and a charlatan. We need to return Labour to power so we can stand up for working people and tackle the problems that this out of touch Tory Government can’t manage. I will be fighting as hard as ever to elect a Labour Government that is on your side.
