I asked a question of the Paymaster General in January 25th’s Urgent Question on ‘partygate’ about whether all evidence would be handed over to the Met Police following newspaper reports that Downing Street staff had been asked to delete this evidence.
The Minister would not give such an assurance but did say we should be reassured by the fact that the Police have already got enough evidence to open an investigation.
His answer rather misses the point.
