It was a privilege to be able to pay tribute to the late Sir Bert Massie, a dedicated campaigner and champion for the rights of people with disabilities. As Minister for Disabled People, I worked closely with Bert during his time as Chair of the Disability Rights Commission and got to know him well.
He truly was a remarkable person who achieved an incredible amount to improve the lives of people with disabilities, and is sorely missed.
